Some parts of the country could experience temperatures as high as 18 or 19 degrees in the coming days as Ireland is set to experience an unseasonably warm spell of weather. Met Éireann is forecasting the midlands and the west will be the warmest.
But Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says a cold spell could be on the way towards the end of the weekend.
"It does look more unsettled for the weekend with temperatures dropping back," he explained. "There is a little bit of uncertainty around the detail and unfortunately the weather models are hinting at a cold, northerly blast coming possibly coming in around the end of the weekend and into next week, winter might be trying to make a little bit of a late comeback so that's something to keep and eye on."
