An uninsured and untaxed tractor was seized in Cavan as Gardai urge farmers to drive safe this silage season.
During a checkpoint in Tullyvin on Wednesday, the Roads Policing Unit stopped a tractor to find the driver was uninsured and the vehicle wasn't taxed.
The tractor was seized at the scene, with Gardai using the incident to appeal to all motorists to drive with care and patience at this time of year when more agricultural vehicles are on the road.

Farmers and contractors are being reminded to ensure they are road legal at all times and to pull in where possible if traffic is building up behind.
