Ulster voters recorded the highest rejection of the government's amendments to the constitution on last week.
While Donegal had the highest number of 'no' votes in both the family and carers referenda at 80 per cent and almost 84 per cent respectively, the Cavan-Monaghan constituency followed behind with the second highest 'no' votes.
When all the votes were counted 78.1 per cent of people in this region voted no in the family referendum and 81.3 per cent came out against the carers, referendum.
Ulster also recorded the lowest turnout for the election, joined in last place with Connacht, with a turnout of just 42.4 per cent in both provinces.
44.8 per cent of a total 108,812 people registered to vote in Cavan-Monaghan turned up to the polls.
Of those, 545 people in Cavan-Monaghan spoiled their votes in the family referendum ballot paper and 557 spoiled their care vote.
