The "social value" of GAA to society is over 2-point-8 billion euro. An independent report by the Sheffield Hallam University found every one euro invested in Gaelic Games is worth between 2 and 4 euro in return.
The research says the Ulster Football Final this year was worth over 2 million to County Monaghan, as it was held in Clones.
It also found the Munster Football Final, played in Thurles, was worth 4-and-a-half million euro to County Tipperary.
