The Ulster Canal restoration project represents the 'realisation' of the Share Island vision.
That's according to Taoiseach Michael Martin who laid the foundation stone on phase 2 of the restoration project in Clones this week.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound he acknowledged the "grief of the past" in the province of Ulster.

He said the canal project would enable people from all sides to experience peace and reconciliation.
The Taoiseach highlighted the opportunities the project now affords for integration and exploration of the island of Ireland.
