A Ukrainian woman who lives and works in Cavan says a lack of accommodation to house refugees is problematic.
It comes as the country ran out of space for new arrivals over the weekend, with 43 people refused housing by the state on Friday and Saturday.
As a result, the cabinet's sub-committee on Ukraine is meeting this afternoon to find solutions to the crisis.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, SvitLana who now lives in Kingscourt, said there are many vacant houses across the region that are in need of restoration, which could be carried out by refugees who are feeling war.
