A Tyholland musician is among those hoping to win a Grammy Award tonight.
Monaghan native Conor Curley is part of five piece Fontaines DC.
The band is nominated in the Best Rock Album category for their second album
"A Hero's Death".
It's their first Grammy nomination.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound when nominations were announced in
November, Conor said the band hadn't been expecting to receive a nomination
but they're delighted to be recognised alongside artists such as The Strokes
and Grace Potter.
The Grammy Awards take place tonight.
