Two thousand jobs remain at risk in Co. Meath with the future of Tara Mines hanging in the balance.
That's the view of the Leader of Aontú, Peadar Tóibín who's called on the government to directly intervene and urgently reduce the cost of electricity to the mines.
Management at the mines has refused to provide a date for re-opening, citing the high cost of zinc and electricity.
