75 per cent of patients in Cavan General Hospital waited longer than the HSE's 6 hour target for an Emergency Department admission.
However, Cavan and Monaghan Hospital scored 8.1 out of 10 for care on the ward.
These were just some of the findings in the HIQA and HSE Inpatient Survey for last year.
More than 10,000 people shared their experience of Irish Hospitals with the HSE and HIQAs annual Inpatient Survey.
It found 4 percent of patients were waiting more than 48 hours in A and E, waiting to be admitted.
For Cavan General Hospital, just under 25 per cent of respondents said they were seen to within 6 hours - the HSE's target time.
37.6 per cent were admitted within 6 and 12 hours, with 29.6 per cent between 12 and 24 hours and 8.6 per cent waited more than 24 hours for admittance.
Overall, patients gave admittance a score of 7.7.
Discharge or transfer was the lowest scored section across all hospitals, with Cavan and Monaghan Hospitals getting a 6.9.
Despite the survey taking place during the Covid-19 pandemic, inpatients at Cavan General Hospital said their overall experience was a 7.9 out of 10.
