Two PSNI officers have ben injured when their sat was deliberately rammed near Ballygawley. Just after 1am on the morning of Thursday, October 17th officers noticed a vehicle being driven erratically on the Millix Road, Ballygawley and signalled it to stop. Instead of stopping, the driver of the silver Ford C Max performed a dangerous manoeuvre and sped off.
Later, on the Upper Cranlone Road, when the driver of the Ford spotted the PSNI vehicle it reversed at speed before driving on the wrong side of the road and ramming into the police car. Despite suffering injuries, however, the two officers arrested the 49-year-old man for a number of driving offences. The police vehicle sustained frontal damage and will now be off the road for repairs, which a PSNI statement says "will obviously impact on the local community."
