A learner driver has been arrested after testing positive for cocaine.
On Sunday afternoon, Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped a car in the Mullagh area with no tax or L plates displayed.
A roadside oral fluid test was carried out and the driver tested positive for cocaine and the car detained.

In a separate incident on Sunday night, a motorist was detected speeding on the N3 in the Butlersbridge area.
The driver failed a roadside breath test and was over the legal alcohol limit.
The motorist was also disqualified from driving - his car was taken off the road and he was arrested and charged to Court.
