A motorist in Co Cavan was arrested and charged to appear before court for drinking driving.
Cavan gardaí say the incident happened earlier this week when the Cavan Roads Policing Unit stopped a car in the Arva area.
The driver failed the roadside alcohol test, was arrested and charged to appear in Court.
In a separate incident on the 15th of February, while on a multi-agency checkpoint with the RSA in Pullamore, a driver took avoidance action but was intercepted and failed a roadside drugs test.
The driver tested positive for cocaine and there was no tax of NCT on the vehicle.
On arrest, blood samples were taken and gardaí say this driver faces a possible prosecution in Court.
