Fine Gael's Aidan Campbell has been elected Chair of the Carrickmacross-Castleblayney Municipal District.
He was elected unopposed at a meeting of Councillors earlier today.
He replaces Sinn Fein's Noel Keelan who has held the post since last year's local elections.
Fianna Fáil's PJ O'Hanlon was elected unopposed as the MD Leas-Cathaoirelach.
Meanwhile, Fianna Fáil's Seamus Coyle has been named Cathaoirleach of the Ballybay-Clones MD.
Fine Gael's Richard Truell was also elected as Leas-Cathaoirleach of the MD.
