Two Monaghan brothers charged in relation to a serious assault that occurred last Tuesday night in Monaghan Town have been further remanded in jail.
Declan Wallace was allegedly struck with a steel baseball bat sometime between 10pm and 11pm that night.
Jason Maughan, 25, and his 23-year-old brother Stephen Maughan, both of Mullaghmat, Monaghan town are charged with assault causing harm on Park Road in Monaghan town on Tuesday the 14th of January.
Molly Roberts, 21, of Lakeview, Enagh, Co Monaghan is also charged with the same offence.
She was granted bail under a number of strict conditions at Cavan District Court last Friday and she also appeared at Monaghan District Court today.
Ms Roberts independent surety was approved by the court to allow her continuing bail and she will appear again at Monaghan District Court on March 3rd for DPP directions.
The man aged in his 40s that was seriously injured in the alleged assault remains in an induced coma in ICU at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
Defence solicitor Roísín Courtney, for both men, indicated in court today that a High Court bail application for the pair was listed to be heard next week also.
