Two men have been hospitalised following a single vehicle road traffic collision on the outskirts of Scotstown.
The call was received at around 3.30 am this morning, after a car struck a tree.
Two appliances from Monaghan Fire Station were mobilised, and Gardai and the National Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
Two men in their 20s suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were removed to Cavan General Hospital for treatment.
One casualty was extricated by fire-fighters using cutting equipment.
The Bog Road was closed to facilitate emergency vehicles and has since re-opened.
A garda spokesperson told Northern Sound News that investigations are ongoing.
