Two men have lost their lives on the roads in the past 24 hours in two separate incidents. A man in his 40s died in a crash Co Roscommon, while a man in his 50s died in a collision with a tractor in Co Meath.
The collision, involving a car and a tractor, happened on the R157 at Moygaddy at around 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, died in the incident. No other injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, gardai are appealing for information on a road crash near Strokestown in Co Roscommon. A man in his 40s died in the single-vehicle collision shortly before 3 o'clock yesterday on the N5 at Cloonfree.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed either crash or who may have video footage of the incidents to contact them.
