Two men have been charged in relation to breaking into a vacant home in the Carrickmacross area over the weekend.
On Friday morning last two men were disturbed in a vacant house in the Carrickmacross area and they fled through the fields.
Local Garda units assisted by the Air Support Unit carried out searches in the immediate area.
Two men aged in their 30's, were subsequently arrested and detained for questioning.
They were both charged with theft related offences and appeared over the well at the Criminal Courts of Justice.
There was also a bench warrant in existence for one of these men.
Carrickmacross Gardaí have said these apprehensions were thanks to vigilant members of the community.
Local Gardaí are using this incident to remind people to always report suspicious activity to your local Garda Station.
