Two rally drivers who lost their lives after a crash in Co Sligo on Sunday have been named.
Gene McDonald from Cootehill in Co Cavan was the driver of the Ford Escort while Daire Maguire from Lisnaskea in Co Fermanagh is understood to have been the passenger during the Sligo Stages Rally.
The men who were aged in their 30's and 40's died instantly when their car hit a wall during the Sligo Stages Rally near Ballymoate.
Gardai are asking that footage of the collision is not shared across social media or messaging apps.
Gardai and Motorsport Ireland are investigating.
Sligo based journalist Sorcha Crowley says both men were married with young families.
