It said the men had recently arrived in Ireland via a recruitment agency and were self-isolating, with a plan to work with them.

The family owned company concluded by saying its thoughts and prayers are with the deceased and their families at this “terribly sad time”.

The road had been closed for a forensic examination, and reopened overnight.
