The two men who died in a Castleblayney crash yesterday had recently arrived in Ireland to work with a local construction company.
Two Polish nationals were killed when their vehicle left the road between Castleblayney and Lough Egish.
The single vehicle collision happened on the R181, Shercock Road at just after 2pm.
The men, in their 30s and 40s, were pronounced dead at 4 o’clock.
Last night, Tusker Construction Group, which is based in Broomfield, issued a statement to express their sympathy to the families of the two men.
It said the men had recently arrived in Ireland via a recruitment agency and were self-isolating, with a plan to work with them.
The family owned company concluded by saying its thoughts and prayers are with the deceased and their families at this “terribly sad time”.
The road had been closed for a forensic examination, and reopened overnight.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who has information, or dash-cam footage, to contact them.
