Two men will appear in court in the north today following the discovery of a suspected cannabis factory in Armagh on Tuesday. The two men, aged 32 and 34, have been charged with a number of offences including cultivating cannabis and possession of a class B controlled drug.
Following a search of a property on Main Street, Markethill police officers discovered around 400 cannabis plants and equipment believed to be used for the cultivation of the drug. The PSNI spokesperson said the drugs seizure "removed an estimated £200,000 worth of drugs destined for our streets from this illegal supply chain".
All charges relating to today's court hearing will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service. Investigating officers ask any member of the public who has any information which could be of assistance to police to contact the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1375 of 03/10/23.
