Over €65,000 has been announced to be provided to support the purchase of two Meal On Wheels vans in Cavan and Monaghan.
Cavan County Local Development and Truagh Development Association have received the funding under Measure 2 of the CLÁR Programme. Deputy Niamh Smyth has welcomed the announcement saying the new vehicle will help to make an enormous difference by providing essential transport for those with mobility issues and cancer care patients.
Across the country, Minister Heather Humphreys announced over 2.1 million supporting the purchase of a record 48 vehicles in rural communities.
