Two Co Monaghan schools are set to be demolished and replaced with new school buildings.
Gaelscoil Eois in Clones has been granted permission to demolish its existing school building.
This will allow for the construction of a new, eight classroom primary school with a connected G.P. hall, a ball court, and a junior play area.
Permission has also been granted for associated site works, which includes the realignment and widening of vehicle access to the Roslea Road.
Elsewhere, a Scoil Mhuire National School in Rockcorry has also received planning permission to demolish its school building and outbuildings.
A new, two-story primary school with five classrooms will be built in its place, with a connected G.P. hall, an external ball court and a play area.
Permission has also been granted for a new vehicle access from the R193 and a new internal road with vehicle set-down areas.
