Two Co Cavan primary schools were among the 12 overall category winners, and a further school was listed in the Top 30, following the recently held Junior Entrepreneur Programme All-Island Awards.
5th and 6th class pupils from Laragh and Muff NS in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, received the Dynamic Designers Award during the event for their JEP business Crafty Cards.
The children devised two card games, Countries of the World and Greek Myths and Legends, with the support of their teacher, Aonghus Byrne.
Meanwhile, 6th Class pupils from Knocktemple National School in Virginia received the Health Heroes Award for their JEP business, Comfy Cushions.
Killeshandra NS was also named among the JEP Top 30 projects of 2023 for their JEP Business Wooden Wonders
Wooden Wonders includes personalised wooden and pebble ornaments that can be given as gifts for any special occasion and the pupils created 15 design options for the customer to choose from.
Their business profited by a massive €1,108.
