Two Co Cavan schools have received planning permission for works that will include special educational needs classrooms.
Kill National School in Cootehill has been granted planning permission for the construction of a new single storey classroom, alongside a special educational needs classroom.
An external shelter and shed will be demolished to accommodate the works.
Elsewhere, Gaelscoil Bhreifne has received planning permission for a single storey extension to its school building, which will include two "Autistic Spectrum Disorder" classrooms.
The works also will provide the Gaelscoil with a new mainstream classroom, as well as new office and toilet facilities.
The development will also see the construction of new car parking and a set down area, and a new access will be put in place to facilitate the extension.
