TG4 is airing a new documentary entitled Hit the Wall this evening at 5.40pm.

It’s a compelling new documentary exploring the fascinating world of handball. Once a cornerstone of Irish sporting life, with alleys in almost every town and village, the sport now faces the challenge of survival.

While handball’s popularity has dwindled to just 10,000 active players and many alleys lie silent or abandoned, the passion and dedication of its top players burn as brightly as ever. Hit the Wall follows these elite athletes through the highs and lows of their season.

One man that had a high season was Cavan’s Paul Brady and the Mullahoran man will be telling his story in the new documentary.

Also featuring in the documentary is Cavan’s Paul Fitzpatrick. The documentary delves into their stories, uncovering what drives these players to chase glory in a sport some believe to be “dead.

Don’t miss Hit the Wall on TG4, Sunday, 5th January, at 5:40 pm.
