New average safety cameras installed on the N3 in Cavan will be operational from 12 noon today. The cameras will detect drivers' speed between two locations along a stretch of road that's prone to crashes.
The cameras have been put in place between Kilduff in the north and Billis in the south. Those caught speeding face a €160 fine and three penalty points.
