Two Monaghan brothers charged in relation to a serious assault that occurred last month have been further remanded on bail.
Declan Wallace was allegedly struck with a steel baseball bat sometime between 10pm and 11pm on the14th of January last.
25-year-old Jason Maughan and his 23-year-old brother Stephen Maughan, both of Mullaghmat, Monaghan town are charged with assault causing harm on the Park Road in Monaghan town on Tuesday the 14th of January.

Another person is due in court next month in relation to the alleged assault.
Judge Raymond Finnegan at Monaghan District Court this morning further remanded both brothers on bail until May 26th to allow for DDP directions to follow in the case.
