A Monaghan columnist with the Irish Independent believes there are still tweaks to make to the new GAA rules.
Two pointers, mandatory long kickouts, 1 v 1 throw ins, and the option to take a solo and go have all made an appearance. Reaction to the new rules has been mixed with some feeling that it's too much for referees and match officials to keep track of. One of those is Cavan man, Dermot McCabe, who took over the Westmeath manager role from Dessie Dolan this year.
Speaking to Midlands 103, McCabe says there's too many variables for referees to deal with.
Meanwhile, Monaghan columnist with the Irish Independent, Dick Clerkin, believes there's been some unintended outcomes of the rules.
