Turnout reported as steady across the region for GE 2024

So far voter turnout in polling booths across Cavan and Monaghan has been steady.

Polling stations across the nation opened at first light at 7am this morning to allow workers, commuters and others the opportunity to exercise their right to vote. Early indicators show there has been a 8% turnout in Castleblayney as of 11am.

Turnout in Clones as of 11am was on 11%, Almost 10% in Cavan Town. Ballyjamesduff has seen a turnout of 8% as of the last hour also. While Monaghan Town and Carrickmacross is up on 12% as of 11am.
