Tuath Housing needs to provide clarity over the coming weeks on whether it will be able to complete a stalled housing estate in Carrickmacross.
That's according to Colm Carthy, after local councillors had a meeting with Tuath Housing yesterday over delays to the housing estate on the Old Ardee Road in the town.
Councillor Carthy called for the meeting and warned that the people of Carrickmacross won't stomach further delays to the project.
While seven units are complete, work has ceased on other properties.
At yesterday's meeting, Councillor Carthy says Tuath Housing has blamed delays on "contractual problems regarding costs and other issues" between the Housing body and the contractor, and that these discussions are on-going.
