Customers of Ulster Bank in Co Cavan are being urged to switch their accounts to Permanent TSB ahead of the financial institution's take over of the Ulster Bank branches in Ballyjamesduff and Ballyconnell in the New Year.
Kay Patton from Permanent TSB said the bank was aiming to make the transition for customers as seamless as possible. She said that customers who make the switch now will find the transition easier in the long run.
Ms Patton added that the bank was investing €2m in the new branches and expanding from 75 to 98 entities countrywide. Meanwhile, Permanent TSB Ballyjamesduff and Ballyconnell branches will offer cash services as well as mortgages, current accounts, deposit accounts, personal loans, insurance and pensions.
