Tributes have been paid to the outgoing curator of Cavan County Museum.
Savina Donohoe is retiring after 22 years in the position.
Before Monday's Ballyjamesduff MD meeting got underway, elected representatives in the area thanked Savina Donohoe for her work over the past two decades.
Cathaoirleach Trevor Smith described it the end of an era, and highlighted some of the larger projects she developed such as the World War One trenches and the Decade of Centenaries commemorations.
Winston Bennett added that she broke down many barriers with her work on Northern Irish issues.
Philip Brady and TP O'Reilly wished her well and said the success of the museum was a testament to her hard work.
Shane P O'Reilly said it's a loss to the county and she'll be a hard act to follow.
Speaking on behalf of Cavan County Council staff, Eoin Doyle said she was a tremendous person and wished her a long and happy retirement.
After what was described by some as being present at your own wake, Savina told Northern Sound News it's bittersweet.
Savina will officially retire on Friday.
