Tributes are being paid to a County Monaghan teenager who died suddenly over the weekend.
Odhrán Connolly, from Rockcorry passed away on Saturday last.
Widespread shock and sadness has been felt across Rockcorry and the wider Monaghan area following the untimely death of 15 year old over the weekend.
Rockcorry GAA, where the Monaghan teenager played football, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media.
They said: "The club was saddened to hear of the sudden passing of one their juvenile players, Odhran over the weekend.
"Odhran was part of the triumphant U13 league team in 2020 and the U15 league team in 2021, mainly playing in goals over both campaigns."
And St Finbarr's Ladies GAA club added: "The club would like to offer their sincerest condolences to our Senior player Lisa, her husband Paddy, children Oisin, Tiarnach, Pádraig and Aoibhínn on the sad untimely passing of Odhrán.
"The club have very fond memories of Odhrán in Bunnoe with a ball in hand supporting his mother Lisa and the team.
One local that knew the 15 year old said: "Condolences to all the family.
"Life was short for Odhran but he left some impression... Those runs up field from the goals will live long in the memory. Rest easy Odhran."
