Former One Direction star Liam Payne has died at the age of 31.
The father of one reportedly fell from the balcony of a hotel in Argentina, where he'd been staying with his girlfriend. Liam was in Argentina, and it's reported he was there to see his former band mate and Mullingar man Niall Horan, who played in the capital two weeks ago. Reports suggest Mr Payne had been acting erratically leading up to his death.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show earlier today, Local journalist, Bronwyn O'Neill, who is the digital editor with VIP Magazine says his death is a massive shock for so many.
Liam's career began at 16 after he auditioned for X Factor, not realising he'd be part of one of the biggest boybands in living memory. Mary Byrne was also on X Factor that year and speaking to Northern Sound, she has been remembering the former one direction star.
Meanwhile in Dublin fans have been reacting to the news.
