Tributes have been paid following the death of former Cavan councillor Charlie Fleming.
The Fianna Fail representative passed away today.
He was co-opted to Cavan County Council in December 2003, replacing Diarmuid Wilson, and represented the Cavan Electoral Area until June 2004.
Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council Clifford Kelly said “though Charlie’s time on Cavan County Council was brief, he made a strong impression”.
Deputy Brendan Smith described Charlie as “a great community man” who was highly regarded in the Ballinagh area.
Charlie’s funeral will take place on Sunday.
