Tributes have been paid to a Co Fermanagh man who died as a result of a fatal crash in Lisnaskea. 28-year-old Mark Johnston from Newtownbutler died following a single-vehicle road traffic collision in Lisnaskea on Thursday the 7th of November. Police received a report, shortly after midnight, of a single vehicle collision on the Lisnaskea Road.
Sadly, the 28-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The Co Fermanagh man has been described by those who knew him as a "true gentleman" who was "taken too soon." In a touching tribute posted online, members of Magheraveely Football Club said they are "devastated" following the tragic death of their team mate. The club described Mark as an "important player, teammate and friend to everyone in the club for the last number of years which is a testament to his popularity within the club."
Meanwhile, Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision, and would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with their enquiries.
