The next gathering of the Treanor clan will return to its Monaghan roots in 2026.
Fresh from this year's event, which was held outside the county for the first time, Noel Murphy said plans for the 2026 event are centred around bringing as many Treanors together as possible.
Around 30 people from Monaghan with the Treanor surname travelled to Prince Edward Island off the east coast of Canada for the latest gathering last week.
Noel Murphy travelled with the group and said for many Canadian Treanors, the DNA and book projects which were organised for the weekend of events was like "closing of a circle" for the sons and daughters of emigrant Monaghan Treanors.
Noel was also surprised by how local people spoke with a slight Monaghan accent and other Monaghan connections.
