Cavan Town has some of the best recycling facilities in the country.
That's according to a new report that was published this week by the latest IBAL litter survey.
The report found that the Bring Centre was one of the cleanest in the country - a model for others to emulate. The survey found Cavan was in 17th place out of the 40 surveyed described as "clean to European norms" and other areas that received high praise were Con Smith Memorial Park and Con Smith Playground which were spotless throughout.
The investigators found the Cavan Recycle Centre as a very well managed facility with a thorough cleaning regime in place, adding it was exceptionally clean and a model for all 'Bring Centres'. Paul Lynch is the Cavan Tidy Towns Committee Secretary. He says there is a lot to be proud of from the survey and it was great to get wonderful feedback in relation to the Bring Centre.
