The toddler involved in a drowning incident in Castleblayney recently is now recovering in hospital.
Thérèse Hickey fell into a water feature at a property in Lough Egish at the start of August and was in critical condition when she was first airlifted to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
However, in a Facebook post today her mother, Melinda Hickey, said that she is progressing and astonishing the staff at the hospital by recovering so quickly.
She says there is still a long road ahead as Thérèse’s case goes before Enable Ireland in the hope she can receive the therapies she needs to transition from Temple St. to home soon.
Melinda has thanked all those who have kept them in their thoughts over the last number of weeks.
