Today marks 75 years since Cavan won the All-Ireland Football Final in New York.
The 1947 final saw the Breffni men take on Kerry in the only decider to ever take place outside of Ireland.
Sports Journalist Paul Fitzpatrick wrote about the match in his book 'The Fairytale in New York', and says it will go down as one of the county's greatest day in history.
The day also marked the consecration of the cathedral in Cavan town which added to the excitement in the county.
Speaking on The Wider View, Paul Fitzpatrick explained how, despite the anniversary, today isn't the anniversary of John Joe O'Reilly getting to lift the cup.
