Today marks the 52nd anniversary of the death of Patrick McCabe, who died as a result of a bomb attack in Clones, Co Monaghan in 1972.
The 50th anniversary of the bombings at Belturbet, Clones and Pettigo was marked last week on December 28th.
On that date, the three bombs exploded within 49 minutes of each other.
There were two victims of the Belturbet bombing, 16-year-old Patrick Stanley and 15-year-old Geraldine O'Reilly - and for almost 50 years, official records stated that there were no fatalities from the bombings at either Pettigo or Clones.
However, only two years ago marked the first time ever that local man, Patrick McCabe, was recognised as a victim of the Clones bomb - a recognition that his family has waited almost 50 years for.
Mr McCabe, who was known locally as 'Paddy' was one of those who came to assist in the clear-up operation after the explosion. He was working on the roof of the building that was damaged by the bomb when he had a fall that resulted in his death.
This left a wife and eight children without a husband or father. In recent weeks a mural dedicated to Paddy McCabe was unveiled in Clones.
