Today marks 35 years since Aidan McAnespie was shot on his way to a Gaelic football match in Co Tyrone.
Mr McAnespie was shot dead close to a checkpoint near Aughnacloy on the Monaghan-Tyrone border as he walked to a GAA match.
53-year-old David Holden who was a British soldier was found guilty of Aidan's manslaughter late last year and last month was handed down a three-year suspended sentence. Over the weekend Aidan was remembered at a special anniversary mass that was celebrated at Clara Chapel.
