Salt stock is currently being replenished following a prolonged cold spell last month.

Cllr Conlon hopes that matter will be dealt with sooner rather than later to prevent heavy traffic concerns.

An allocation of €40,000 has been provided to progress the local cycle path scheme.

As a result of the recent funding the route can now proceed to phase 2 of development.

Works will be carried out to both the carriageway and the footpaths.
