Three of the six Municipal Districts in Cavan and Monaghan have elected their Chairs for the upcoming year.
In the Monaghan MD, Independent Seamus Treanor will take up the position of Cathoirleach, with Fianna Fáil's Raymond Aughey being named Leas Cathaoirleach.
Meanwhile, Fine Gael Councillor Val Smith has been elected Cathaoirleach of the Bailieborough-Cootehill MD, with Aiden Fitzpatrick of Fianna Fáil becoming vice Chair there.
In the Ballyjamesduff MD, two first time Councillors, Fianna Fáil's Craig Lovett and Fine Gael's Trevor Smith have been elected Chair and vice-Chair.
Councillors in the Ballybay-Clones area will meet next Monday to hold their AGM.
