Virginia-native Thomas Duffy says he's proud of how he was able to "roll with the punches" during his term as President of Macra na Feirme.
His two year term as national president will come to an end on May 15th, when John Keane will take over the role at the farming organisation's AGM.
Thomas says it's been a "challenging and unpredictable two years" and while he acknowledged further challenges lie ahead, he says significant gains have been made for young farmers.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, the out-going Macra na Feirme president spoke about some of the achievements during his term:
