Local Independent Councillor Shane P O'Reilly says he's been speaking to a number of local businesses who are struggling to fill jobs as the economy reopens.
It comes as he calls for school bus services to be allowed run at full capacity, in line with plans announced by Minister Eamon Ryan for other public transport services.
The Mullagh representative said the pandemic created knock-on issues that means there aren't drivers available to run additional buses, even if they were allowed.
He told Shannonside Northern Sound that it's just of aspect of working through Covid-19 that the Government hasn't considered.
