As counting resumes in Cavan-Monaghan, there are four seats left to fill in the constituency.
Fine Gael's David Maxwell following the tenth count last night after the elimination of Fianna Fáil's Robbie Gallagher. It remains a tight affair for the remaining seats with a quota of 11,542. Sinn Féin's Matt Carthy is the closest on 10,898, followed by Niamh Smyth (FF), Brendan Smith (FF), Sarah O'Reilly (AON), Cathy Bennett (SF), and Pauline Tully (SF). The count this afternoon will begin at 1pm with the distribution of David Maxwell's surplus of 811 votes.
Hopefully by this evening, we'll know who will make up the 5 seater constituency of Cavan-Monaghan
