The body of a man in his 40s found in Cootehill

A man’s body has been discovered in Cavan.

The remains of the man who is yet to be identified, were discovered in an apartment in Cootehill.

The man who is believed to be in his 40s was found shortly after 9am this morning.

Gardaí confirmed to Northern Sound that they are investigating all possible circumstances at this time.

His body has since been removed to the mortuary at Cavan General Hospital where a post-mortem will take place at a later date, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
