The teenager who died after getting into difficulty in Lough Sheelin this week has been named locally.

15 year old Killian Casey was airlifted to hospital in Dublin on Tuesday night but he later passed away.

The local region has been shocked by three drowning incidents this week.

He was treated in Temple Street Children's Hospital but he passed away last night.

29 year old mother of two Natasha Core died at Swan Lake in Lough Gowna after she got into difficulty on Wednesday.

She entered the water after her son got into difficulty in the lake.

Michael Hoey from Carrickmacross, who was in his 70s, died while snorkelling at Lough Allen on Wednesday.

He's survived by his wife and five children.
