A fundraising initiative will take place in Emyvale today in support of the National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street.
Local man Gabe Murphy is on a mission to raise funds after the care his two premature boys received when they were there.
Gabe's identical twin boys Aodhán and Fionn were born 13 weeks early back in October, however sadly Aodhán passed away a week later.
According to Gabe Murphy, having a baby is one of the most important events in life and providing high quality neonatal and maternal care is at the heart of The National Maternity Hospital, Holles Street.
A tea/coffee day will take place at the home of Peadar and Ann McMahon on Mullan Road today from 2pm until 9pm.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Gabe has encouraged local to come along and support this worthy cause:
Gabe is also cycling 500k to raise as much money as he can for Helping
Holles Street.
